| (Just so everyone knows, we
don't have a gang of rules and all that. These are just the basics about
Animated that needed to be put down so everyone knows what the club is all
about. We feel like everyone is and should be grown, or atleast act it,
and we shouldn't have to tell anyone how to act or what to do.) **The biggest thing about being an Animated member is RESPECT. RESPECT GIVEN, RESPECT EARNED!!! Definitions/Standards/Requirements: Area/Extension Representative:--This is the one person from each area or official extension that is the personal contact to the rest of the club's representatives. This person is responsible for relaying information that is passed down through all the other club's reps like shows and new club info. This person usually is the one who gets into the club from an area away from the home base and so to speak, brings it back home with them. They are the voice to begin with who brings Animated to their area. They are the area representative until there is an official extension formed. Then at that time, if everyone chooses, that person can become the official extension representative. If the big logo members of the new extension all decide to have someone else as the ext. rep., thats fine too.....as long as the council agrees. Extensions--This is any group of Animated that is formed outside of the original home base of the club, Greenville, NC. Some people consider this chapters but this is not what our extensions are. It is as though you are a member of the home base but dont live in or around Greenville. We have created this to expand Animated out beyond our normal boundaries. Official extensions can not be formed until there are atleast 3 Show Team members from that area and a meeting time and place established. There has to be a represetative named, who has two other Show Team members who they can trust to help in any way. The Council has final say so in any case whether or not an extension can be formed. Once formed, the extension can vote in their own prospect members without the approval of The Council. Big logos still have to have Council/Club approval. No one is to be voted out of Animated without The Council's approval. The Council--This was created within Animated to give guidance to the club as a whole and to make sure the standards and respect is kept in this club as it has been since '89. The Council members consist of each extension representative, no matter how long in the club, the overall representative from Greenville, and a silent 10 year plus old school member to assure tradition is kept. Each member of The Council is responsible for the communication of the whole club. There is no decision that The Council can make unless they have approval from every Show Team member. The Council handles any problems that may come up in the club from any area. When someone is to be voted into the club, each representative much get approval from every show team member they have. Prospect Members--1. To obtain one of our small prospect logos you must first let one of our members or representatives know that you are interested in the club. 2. The next meeting or show that you attend as Animated, you will be given a prospect logo to represent with as long as your vehicle meets the prospect requirements.. 3. After obtaining the prospect logo, you must show at 3 more shows that other Animated members are at, before you can be voted on for the big logo. Meetings do not count as shows but of course coming to meetings, when or if able, gives you more time to get to know everyone and shows your dedication to the club. To become a prospect member, your ride needs to be atleast show presentable, custom, and have three or more mods done to it....one being custom wheels. There are exceptions to everything so it still goes on a ride by ride judgement call sometimes. Cleanliness means alot to us as this is what show judges are looking for right to start with. Example: If you don't have anything custom under your hood, it should be as clean as it can possible be when you pop it. Vehicle MUST be present when getting voted on. Show Team Members--To become a Show Team member you must first meet the requirements stated above for prospects. Once you have showed at your 3rd show after recieving your prospect logo, we vote either at that show or at the next meeting. Once you become a Show Team member you are always one. If you get an additional or new ride, as long as it meets vehicle standards it can be voted on immediately at a meeting or show. Show Team members are also the only members in the club that can vote in new members or pass new standards and requirements. The vehicle MUST be present when getting voted on, so make sure it is show ready when we all go to look at it. It is also required to have a unanimous vote from every Show Team member. The Council members are responsible for getting everyone's input and answer on the ride. Your logo/plaque must be purchased through the club and the club plaque is not to be displayed in any vehicle other than a Show Team ride. 4 Show Requirement for Show Team Members--The club as a whole decided if you can't go to atleast 4 shows a year, what is the purpose of being in a show club. Three of the shows will be of your choosing and one will be the show that the club as a whole decides to get together at once a year. We get together all the time at shows but that one show a year where we all represent at together is pushed as almost a mandatory event for club members. Even though we don't have anything mandatory other than Slamsession, we encourage this one show. If you don't meet the 4 shows a year, The Council will make a decision on your ride going back down to a prospect logo. There of course are exceptions to everything so The Council will make the final call. Vehicle Standards--For prospects we are looking for rides that are clean, put together well and are presentable as a show ride. If a ride looks like it is thrown together, it may have a problem even getting a prospect logo. As for Show Team rides....we are looking for the same as prospect rides but we are also looking to see if you have touched each part of your vehicle. If you have stock paint, is it clean and is the body in good shape? If its custom paint, is the quality there as it should be or is the body work done right? Whats been done on the interior....is it clean? Is there work done in the trunk or bed and how well was it done? The engine compartment is the place that most people forget about.....we dont. This and the under-carriage is the spot that a judge will turn to first for a tie breaker. If you dont have any work done under the hood just be sure that it is very clean and show ready. This also matters a lot to us when we are checking over your ride when getting voted on for either logo. Flavor or as some would call flava, is something that is quite important when customizing. Not everyone has "flava" and we will do what we can to help you or let you know if you are lacking this quality. The main thing about vehicle standards is you, the owner and future Animated member, having confidence enough in your ride to set it up proudly beside the club's heavy hitters. Remember....cleanliness goes a long way. Primer Standards--This will be decided on a vehicle to vehicle basis. Of course a ride rockin' primer looks better fully primered but that does not mean that you should spray your whole ride if there is no reason to. If there is something that you have been working on and a primer spot is required, don't spray your whole ride so it looks better. It is easy to tell if people have spots because of work that's been done, or if they are just never gonna have paint. You can still get voted in, even as a Show Team member with primer. Council has final say so. Member Standards/Requirements--The most important thing about Animated is it's members. You can have the hottest rides out in the scene but if everyone is a dick, you gets no respect. First off, members are expected to represent Animated to the fullest. A half ass member means a half ass club. We have always been respected in the scene simply because we have always gotten along with anyone or any club and always represent to the fullest of our ability. There should NEVER be any beef between members or anyone else in the scene for that matter. The Council will step in and handle any beef that there may be...and we don't slap on the wrist. More than likely, if you have beef with someone in the club or just act ignorant and immature and are not a great reflection for the club as a whole...we will simply vote you out and keep right on rollin'. We are too old and have had the scene's respect for way too long to have to deal with anything stupid. It is not worth it to us. When you drive your logo'd ride remember, you are representin' us all so don't be a dumbass. When you are in a public place, you are representin' the club and a bunch of loud cussing and acting the fool doesn't look good on any of us. Be aware of who is around you and if the member next to you is ignoring that...remind them to act like they know. If you can't be respectful to the general public, you can believe they will have no respect for us. This is one of those common sense things but we have learned from the past that it needs to be addressed here for all to see. Animated Apparel & use of Logo or name--The club has decided that ALL Animated apparel such as hats, t-shirts and so on have to be purchased solely through the club. This will keep us uniformed so everything doesn't look all jacked up. A lot of people do not get the logo right so the design looks cheap or amateur. Also, you need the clubs approval to put the logo or name anywhere on your ride for example....getting a logo airbrushed on the hood of your ride, or getting a hand painted logo, etc. |
